Some of you may be wondering if you can boot up your old Diablo II save file when Diablo II Resurrected is released. A save from 20 years ago couldn’t transfer over to today right? Well, in a recent interview with IGN Middle East and the game’s producer, the upcoming remaster will let players do just that.

Matthew Cederquist stated that the remaster will allow anyone to transfer their save from the original game into Diablo II Resurrected. It is pretty amazing that those saves from over 20 years ago can still be continued today.

The producer mentioned that the devs were incredibly surprised to find out that throwing the old save files into the remaster worked. He stated: “Back when we were working on [the remaster], we wondered if the old save files would work and we kind of shoved it in and it worked. And we were like, ‘okay, that’s the best feature ever’.”

Cederquist did not mention if this would be only available for the PC version of the game. If the save functionality comes to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch when the game is released sometime this year, we will be sure to let you know.

The Best Diablo 2 LoD Hacked characters for Single Player/Open Battle.net.

Here are some Diablo 2 save games / Diablo 2 character files / Diablo 2 files for single and open battle.net.

Click the link on the character you want to download, click 'save' and save it on your desktop or somewhere where you can find it.

Now find the file called 'save' in the Diablo 2 folder, if you have trouble finding it right click the Diablo 2 icon and click 'open file location'

or if you have windows xp you will have to go into Diablo 2 properties then click 'Find Target'. When you click open file location, you

will see a file called 'save', open the save file. Now go to the character file you downloaded and copy it (ctrl +c). Then after opening the

saves file paste the file (press ctrl + v) into the save folder, now open Diablo 2 and go to 'single player' or 'open battle.net' and your new character will be waiting.
